High Energy Astrophysics in Southern Africa
18-20 June 2015, University of Johannesburg, South Africa
High Energy Astrophysics in Southern Africa (HEASA) is an annual conference to promote multiwavelength astronomy in Southern Africa and to build national and international collaborations. HEASA 2015 is the 3rd conference in this series. The past two conferences took place at the North-West University, Potchefstroom (2013) and at the Boyden Observatory of the University of Free State (2014).
Scientific topics that will be covered in this conference are
Gamma-ray, X-ray, Optical and Radio observations
Theory of Active Galactic Nuclei, Gamma-Ray Bursts, Pulsars, Supernovae, Novae, Cataclysmic Variables
Astroparticle Physics of Cosmic Rays, Neutrinos and Dark Matter
Observational Cosmology in connection with Multi-wavelength Astronomy
There will be invited talks and contributed talks.
