UJRC config: Install OSG

General

First of all, arm yourself with plenty of patience, because the OSG installer (pacman) is unforgiving. One mistake, and you'll have to start from scratch. And yes, that means downloading everything (>600MB) again, pacman does not keep a cache of the downloaded packages. For this reason it's much better if you have installed the SQUID http proxy before, and configured it for keeping large files too.

Preliminary

1. Site Planning
   Choose the general structure of the site
2. Preparing Compute Element
   Request the server and user certificates etc.

Turn SELinux off

The OSG Middleware is not yet SELinux-compliant, so you need to turn off SELinux. It's easy to do from the Applications/System Settings/Security Level control panel ; or run setenforce 0 on a terminal. Make sure you turn it off for the next reboot in /etc/selinux/config

I really think OSG should be able to work at least in SELinux Targeted mode, but I have not tried.

Install PACMAN

# tar --no-same-owner -xzvf pacman-latest.tar.gz
# cd pacman-3.29
# source setup.sh
