Virtualisation

• The UJ Cluster uses the free VMWare Server 2 on the head node, to host the Grid servers.
  This was chosen for ease of installation. Unfortunately the web-based console access does not work from OsX nor from Scientific Linux 4.
• The Wits Cluster uses OpenVZ (Virtuozzo).
• The UJ IT department frequently uses Xen, but this would have required using SL5, and we wanted instead to remain on a uniform SL4 platform.
