PUBLIC MEETINGS ON THE RECOGNITION OF PROFESSIONAL BODIES AND THE REGISTRATION OF PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS
SAQA will be holding four (4) information sharing meetings with
professional bodies (both established and aspirant bodies) to give
information on the recognition and registration process. The aim of
the meetings is to explain:
what’s in it for professional bodies, professionals and the public
the role that recognised professional bodies can play and will be
expected to play in relation to their sector
how the criteria for recognition will be interpreted
how applications must be made
when the process will start and how it will be implemented.
There will also be a question and answer session.
The meetings will be from 8:30 to 12:00 held in:
Durban – 22 July 2011
Johannesburg - 25 July 2011
Cape Town - 27 July 2011
Pretoria - 29 July 2011
The venues in each city will be communicated to interested parties as
soon as they have been finalised.
Professional bodies are invited to send a maximum of two
representatives each to one of these meetings.
If your organisation intends attending one of the meetings please be
so kind as to forward the name of your organisation, the names of the
representatives and their contact details indicating which meeting
